75/77 Station Passage,
I have chosen to study and practice Counselling because I love to work with people and I enjoy helping them.
I believe the combination of empowerment and self-motivation to be the key to overcoming any obstacles someone might encounter in his or her life.
I believe that everyone in this world can make a difference, no matter how small or how big the change is.
I believe that each human being possesses the ability to make a change in his/her life. Some of us are not aware about that so I am willing to help these people to find their skills, motivation, and willpower to set their goals, and fulfil their dreams.
I am a qualified Counsellor and now completing a MSc In Psychology.
I am a registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I adhere to its Ethical Framework and I work with your best interests in mind using all my knowledge and experience.
My theoretical approach is integrative which means I draw on the main psychological theories (knowledge and skills from Person Centred, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapies ) in order to work with a variety of individuals depending on their needs.
I work on a 1 to 1 basis and I believe the therapeutic relationship I develop with my clients is the key to a successful outcome in our work together.
I respect human rights and dignity, human experience and culture, and I aim to protect the safety of my clients and to alleviate personal distress and suffering offering the core conditions, striving to be for my client, travelling along with him/her.
I believe in equality and an I/THOU relationship.
I am experienced in supporting individuals with a variety of concerns such as addictions, depression, low self-esteem and self confidence, relationship issues, anxiety, self-harm.
Counselling sessions are for 50 minutes and I receive regular clinical supervision to ensure that I work as effectively as possible whether we are meeting for short or long-term work with regular reviews.
I have an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (C.R.B.) Certificate.
Thank you for reading about me.
