It can be difficult finding someone you can talk to.
How do you choose a counsellor ?
How do you know if you can trust them?
Will they judge you?
Will they understand?
Hello and welcome to my counselling profile. My name is Daniel Easton and I am a Counsellor, a Life Coach and Mindfulness trainer.
I work with many issues including; working with family and relationship issues, anxiety, stress, depression, grief and loss, addictions, personality disorders, time anxiety and general issues.
I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy BACP which means that i work to a strong ethical code and I am accountable.
Everything starts with a initial 40 minutes chat. This ensures that I am the the right person to help you. It’s really important that you feel you can work with your counsellor, or mentor.
Seeking help is a commitment to yourself. The very act of starting means that you want to make a positive change in your life and you want the relationship and experience to start off right. During the initial session we discover what’s the best way to work for you. For some this may mean weekly sessions, for others it might be every two weeks or even monthly. You decide, these are your sessions.

There are many different approaches to Counselling and Psychotherapy, but whats important is that you are at the centre of the process. This means that you set the agenda, you say what is best and what works for you. Your counsellor should work in your best interest and if you get stuck, or find your sessions difficult, your Counsellor will help you.
I am a member British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and the Association of Christian Counsellors (ACC).
