About me

It can be a tough finding someone you can talk to. How do you know if you can trust them? Will they judge you? Will they understand?

I know how to listen to you, to be there and help you work things out, without judgement.  Sometimes its hard to know what’s going on in our lives, it might not be so easy to identify if we are depressed, or anxious. Perhaps we feel disturbed, out of place, just not right, hopeless or disconnected. I can work with you to find out whats not right, and find a way forward.

I am a qualified Counsellor, a Life Coach and Mindfulness trainer. My work includes; working with family and relationship issues, anxiety, stress, depression, grief and loss, addictions, personality disorders, time anxiety and general issues.

I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy BACP.

Everything starts with a free 30 minutes chat. This ensures that I am the the right person to help you. It’s really important that you feel you can work with your counsellor, or mentor. Seeking help is a commitment to yourself. The very act of starting means that you want to make a positive change in your life and you want the relationship and experience to start off right. During the initial session we discover what’s the best way to work for you. For some this may mean weekly sessions, for others it might be every two weeks or even monthly. You decide, these are your sessions.

Further information

Our Approach.

There are many different approaches to Counselling and Psychotherapy, but whats important is that you are at the centre of the process. This means that you set the agenda, you say what is best and what works for you. Your counsellor should work in your best interest and if you get stuck, or find your sessions difficult, your Counsellor will help you.

Counselling

A Counsellor’s role is to help you understand your thoughts and feelings. To be a companion as you explore possibly painful experiences and help you find a way through. You are the true expert in your own life, you hold all the answers that can make a difference, though it often feels otherwise. Counselling helps you reflect on life's issues, problems and successes so that you can find your own answers.

Mentoring and Coaching

Mentoring is a relationship that centres on helping you to achieve your goals in life, both personal and professional. It is a safe environment where you can focus on the issues that are important to you, finding empathy and encouragement. A mentor helps you with life issues that affect both the present and the future. Sometimes a counsellor, sometimes a teacher. A mentor can help inspire, challenge and make the road ahead clearer.
