About me
My name is Dana and I run The Sanctuary Counselling Centre in Steyning, West Sussex. I am accredited with the NCS and am a trained Humanistic Counsellor.
I offer both long and short term counselling depending on the needs of each client. I believe that a good therapeutic relationship is paramount in order for therapy to have the desired affect, I therefore offer a free consultation which gives us the opportunity to meet and discuss your needs.
I specialise in working with children and young people of all ages. I also offer family therapy with two or more members of the family. I work from a converted scandinavian BBQ lodge which offers a safe, creative, relaxed and non-judgemental environment in which to explore any issues you may be experiencing. As well as talking therapies I work creatively which can be a safe way to explore emotions and feelings in a non verbal, non intrusive way.
My practice is based in the village of Steyning and due to its semi rural location offers free parking and easy access. For clients unable to travel I can offer you a home or school/college visit.
Training, qualifications & experience
Chichester University - Diploma in Humanistic Counselling.
Ascentis - Awareness in Bereavement Care foundation course .
I am also a qualified early years practitioner - and have worked in a pre-school for 7 years.
