Hello. I offer one to one counselling and psychotherapy for adults and young people from a practice based in the Sherwood area, just outside of Nottingham city centre. There are many reasons to come to counselling. You might have a specific issue you would like to discuss, be generally finding it hard to cope or need to share something with someone confidentially; I will offer a safe, warm, respectful environment for you to speak about and explore whatever you need to.
I work in a comfortable, quiet room approximately 10 minutes drive from the centre of Nottingham, easily got to on the bus routes with parking available outside. I am fairly flexible with appointment times, with availability during the day and early evenings Monday to Friday.
Training, Qualifications & Experience
I have a Masters Qualification in Humanistic Person Centred Psychotherapy from the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute (accredited by Birmingham University) and I am registered with the UKCP. I currently work as a counsellor at SYEDA in Sheffield (an organisation working with people suffering from eating disorders) and also lecture in counselling at North Notts College.
I have previous experience of working with a wide range of clients from different backgrounds and ages for both long-term and short-term work. Over the last 4 years I have worked as a counsellor in a 6th form college, a university, a GP surgery, in charity-based organisations, as well as in private practice.

Fees
Sessions last for 50 minutes and will cost 40 pounds. The duration of the course of counselling is something we can negotiate based around your individual needs.
