About me and my therapy practice
I am an integrative therapist, I also work using CBT and Solution Focused counselling, I offer short and long-term counselling.
I believe the therapeutic relationship is at the heart of the work. I specialise in working with individuals who suffer with emotional difficulties: I can work with you if perhaps you are anxious or depressed, dealing with a phobia which is impacting your life, feeling isolated or lonely, suffering from traumatic events or bereavement, experiencing relationship or family problems, feeling unhappy at work or in your career, having difficulty coping or settling into college/university life, suffering from low confidence or self-esteem or perhaps you are struggling with destructive or addictive behaviour, feeling out of control, self-harm or an eating disorder. I work with adolescents and adults. I am also a mentor at a university.

Training, qualifications & experience
MSc in Therapeutic Counselling, 2013; BSc (Hons) in Psychology with Counselling, 2010;
I have experience working with individuals and family members in a Hospice setting, I have worked with males in a forensic setting, and with students in college and university settings. I currently work in a University as Counsellor for both students and staff. I am a mentor working with university students. I also work with individuals who are on a Employee Assistance Programme.

My Therapy Journey
Calming environment, making you feel at ease, feeling in a muddle can you help me please. Allowing time for me to speak, being open, vulnerable and weak. Making me realise that those things are ok, that I'm not made of stone in any way. I am just me who you don't know, helping me get through so much and just go with the flow. Helping me to process and see things in a different light, making me look at the inner me without putting up a fight. Using your sound knowledge and your listening ear, coming up with concepts helping things become clear. Your empathatic way and your calming voice, you have made me see that I do have a, choice. Arming me with coping mechanisms and an understanding, allowing me to face my fears and not let them be so demanding. finding my smile again and just being free. I owe you a big thank you to you for helping me.

Counselling can be a daunting and rewarding endeavour. If you feel ready to work on your difficulties or would like to feel heard and understood, perhaps you are ready to talk to a counsellor. Choosing the right counsellor can be difficult. As a client you decide if you would like to continue with your counselling and if your session has been helpful. After all you are the expert on how you feel, you know how you are experiencing life. Your counsellor is there to support you whatever your circumstances. Your counselling journey can be full of difficulties and successes.
