Profile

Confide is a locally based registered charity which was set up in 1987 to provide counselling across Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin. We offer indivudual sessions by Counsellors who are professionally trained and supervised. Counselling takes place in Shrewsbury and Telford and may be for an agreed number of sessions or can be extended for a longer period.

Training, Qualifications & Experience

All counsellors have completed, or are working towards, a minimum of 2 years training, leading to a Diploma in Counselling. Counsellors are thoroughly assessed by internal and external assessors before starting counselling and their work is continually monitored.
All Confide Counsellors are required to undertake ongoing professional development.
Confide is an Accredited Service of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy(BACP) and all its Counsellors and Supervisors work in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework.

Fees

We request a deposit of £20 with an application for counselling (or £10 if clients are on income-related benefits) towards the cost on the initial assessment. As part of the initial assessment, fees for ongoing weekly sessions will be agreed. These fees are set according to income and personal circumstances.
