Dr Colm Gallagher - Clinical Psychologist
Dr Gallagher is a Clinical Psychologist, with chartered membership with the British Psychological Society. He believes in offering a confidential, tailored and compassionate approach to help people manage distress and improve mental health and well-being.
Throughout his career in mental health services he has strived, and continues to develop, in providing high quality, compassionate, psychological services to adults of all ages, abilities and presenting complexities. He aims to work to a high standard in direct, face-to-face clinical work with individuals.
Dr Gallagher provides Psychological Assessment and Therapy for people over 18 years with a range of emotional and psychological difficulties.

Dr Gallagher has experience in helping individuals with common mental health problems, eating disorders, neurological issues, chronic pain and other health problems, psychosis, addictions and with children/adolescents and individuals with learning disabilities. He offers a range of therapeutic approaches including those drawn from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy and Compassion focussed therapy.
Services are provided in accordance with British Psychological Society (BPS) ethical guidelines.
The service aims to be sensitive to gender, sexuality, and cultural and religious diversity.
Dr Gallagher is a registered provider for some major health insurance companies which may cover all or part of the cost of treatment.
Services are not provided which lie outside the competencies of the service provider.

Training, qualifications & experience
I trained as a clinical psychologist at the University of Leicester. I offer evidence-based therapeutic interventions, which draw upon a range of psychological theories and approaches to fit the therapy to you and your goals. I have an additional training in CBT, compassion focussed and narrative therapy.

Free initial telephone consultation. Therapy sessions last on average between 50-60 minutes and cost £95-£110 per session. Couple sessions charged at slightly higher rate. I am registered with some health insurance companies. Fees payable at end of each session. 24 hour cancellation notice required.
