Hi, thanks for taking the time to read my profile. I know that looking for a counsellor who is right for you can sometimes seem daunting, but I hope that reading through my profile will put you at ease and help you make the right choice for you.
I work with individuals, couples and families supporting them in a safe, confidential and relaxing environment. I work from my base in Wilpshire and I am available throughout the Ribble Valley and Blackburn areas.
I am a qualified and experienced humanistic, person centred counsellor and social worker who has worked in a variety of mental health settings for the last twenty years. During this time, I have consistently updated and extended my triaining. I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council, (HCPC).
Over the years I have worked with people who have been experiencing a wide range of issues and difficulties and helped them to work out their next steps and solutions, recognising their potential for growth and change.
I work within structured counselling sessions, providing a private and confidential service. The basis of my work stems from my own strong empathic feelings, using core conditions of empathy, respect and genuineness.
I work collaboratively and holistically to help people who are facing challenges and changes. I offer impartiality as a starting place for people to begin to find their own answers and resolutions.
I work with both men and women, as well as with couples. I also work with families with young adults providing family therapy. I have always had a special interest in working with women and the gender issues that surround their lives.
