I’m Paul Welcomme an experienced and Relate and BACP Registered Personal and Relationship Counsellor. My Practice is 'Clevedon Counselling' and I practice at The Wellbeing Studio, 6, Alexandra Road, Clevedon. BS21 7QE.I also work in Central Bristol at Berkeley Centre Health 3, Berkeley Square, Clifton. BS8 1HL. I provide support for a range of issues, depression, anxiety, bereavement, stress, anger management, domestic abuse, relationship difficulties, communication problems, employment and work related problems, confidence and self development. I am specially trained to work with high cognitive Aspergers, domestic violence/ abuse perpetrators and survivors both male & female.
I have also been trained by Nick Duffell, Helena Lovendal and Joy Schaverien to work with 'Boarding School Survivors' and their partners and am a member of the Boarding Recovery team. see www.boardingrecovery.com. Training, qualifications & experience
I have 18 years experience as an experienced & qualified Counsellor /Psychotherapist, 10 years with Relate, and have 5 years experience with a leading Perpetrator programme for men who are abusive (Ahimsa in Plymouth) as well as private referrals, and work with a variety of clients referred from Relate, EAP's, local Health related organisations, Boarding Recovery and self referred clients.
I am a Guidance Practitioner /Coach & Trainer and provide Personal & Small Business / Enterprise Coaching.
I am a member of the Boarding Recovery team of specialist psychotherapists that support Boarding School Survivors. www.boardingrecovery.com and am a co-facilitator on the bi-annual 'Boarding School Survivor workshops held in London. www.boardingschoolsurvivors.co.uk
I provide short term Counselling under contract to Bupa, Health Assured and Cigna Health.
I work with an integrative model including CBT and Solution Focused Brief therapy but am experienced in seeing couples longer term using integrated models including Psychodynamic,Relational and Systemic practice. I provide workshops for professionals on Domestic Violence Awareness, Good Practice support and Boarding schools survivors. I attend regular training & workshops to maintain my knowledge and best practice and ensure I have quality Supervision to mainatin my Practice as ethical and safe..
