Do you need to talk to somebody outside your family or friends who will listen without making a judgement, in a safe and confidential environment? Saying what’s on your mind isn’t always easy, talking about painful and difficult feelings can be hard. I provide a safe, non judgmental, confidential space where you will be listened to and truly heard.
I understand that asking for help can feel difficult. I am an experienced, qualified counsellor who can support you at a time when you feel overwhelmed, upset or anxious. If you are struggling to cope, feel low or depressed, or you simply need to talk to someone who can help you explore your thoughts and feelings, then why don't you contact me to see if I could be the right therapist for you.
I work from home, in a comfortable therapy room. Parking is available outside my house, Enfield Chase Station is a four minute walk, Enfield Town Station is a 10 minute walk.
What to expect from your first session
I recognise the importance of finding a counsellor that you feel comfortable with. Therefore, if required I am able to offer a no obligation initial 15 minute consultation at no charge.
I have full Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance, I also have regular supervision. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their Code of Ethics for good practice.
Training, qualifications & experience
My qualifications to practice are as follows:

- BA Hons in Counselling (First class)
- BACP accredited Diploma in Person Centred Counselling
- Certificate in counselling skills
I completed my BA Hons in Counselling relating to "Research Methods for Counsellors, Freud & Object Relations, Counselling & Society and Counselling Research Dissertation". CONEL is one of the leading training institutions in the UK with a reputation for clinical and academic excellence and is part of Middlesex University. It is accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I have experience of working with adults and young people within my private practice in Enfield where I offer both long and short term therapy.
Additionally, I provide one to one counselling for people whose lives who have been impacted by cancer, at the Helen Rollason Cancer Charity in North Middlesex Hospital.
I also work part time as a School Counsellor within an independent secondary school for Children with multiple special needs and behavioural problems.
I have worked with a variety of ages, cultures, religions and recognise that every person is individual and unique.
Previously, I was employed by the NSPCC for three years as a ChildLine counsellor, providing emotional support to young people up to the age of 18.
I have also volunteered for One in Four, a London based charity offering long term counselling for survivors of childhood sexual abuse.

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). The BACP require evidence of qualifications and good professional standards and I am bound by their codes of conduct when working as a counsellor. I also hold two enhanced Criminal Record Bureau (CRB) disclosures.
