Profile
I am a qualifed person centred counsellor with thirteen years experience. I integrate other learning and experience that I have gained as a psychotherapist, counsellor and supervisor especially attachment theory and recent developments in neuroscience. I have worked in a wide range of settings in the field and as trainer.
You will find me present and engaged with you on your journey, I listen as whole person and offer you space for you to hear yourself and be heard. I believe we become ourselves in relationship and I grow and change through contact with each person I meet. I am open to learning from you as we spend time together. I am happy to negotiate particular needs or access issues, as I am able.
I am active participant within the Independent Practioners Network as I believe in a responsible autonomous and accountable way of practicing. I would offer you company and support in facing whatever brought you to see me. I am wanting to integrate concerns with the wider poltical environment into my practice and one expression of this is my work as a founder member of Grow Between (www.growbetween.org.uk) where I offer workshops that address issues of sustainability and social inclusion.
I have a particular interest in ethics, ecopsychology, issues that concern women, and neurodiversity. I also love music and have played the flute in small groups and orchestras.
I am currently offering short term, flexible fee counselling, our contracts would be for a maximum of 6 months.
