About me

Having made the decision to find a counsellor I would offer you a free initial session to discuss what brings you to counselling, what you hope to achieve from our time together; to answer any questions you may have about how I work and for us to decide on whether we feel comfortable working together.

Trained in the 'integrative' approach I see the quality of our relationship is of central importance and will draw upon person-centred, psychodynamic and transpersonal approaches.  I aim to be responsive and respectful towards you and your concerns; recognising that no two people's experiences and their responses to them are the same. My practice is further guided by the BACP ethical framework.

I am  a registered member of the BACP and experienced in working with  people from varying cultural backgrounds with a range of issues e.g. anxiety, depression, bereavement, work-related stress, relationship problems and sexuality, amongst others.

As well as my private practice I am a volunteer counsellor for two organisations – one offering support for people in a caring role  and the other a community based service for clients presenting with a broad range of concerns.

I have extensive experience of working with young people (aged 16 plus) in educational settings as well as working with adults of all ages.

You can contact me direct on 07754 026325 if you would like to discuss your needs further.
