Life's challenges, difficult experiences or even a desire for self improvement can prompt a person or couple to seek out Psychotherapy.
Sometimes unexpected life events, leading to a loss of control, may cause distress, anxiety, depression or anger.
Other times the need for professional support may focus on deep seated, historical issues that continue to influence daily living today.
Why is talking important?
As well meaning as family and friends can be, often what we need most is an impartial, non-judgemental place to just be ourselves. I provide a confidential, neutral and safe space that can give you the necessary time to work on concerns at your own pace. Allowing yourself this space gives you the opportunity to reconnect again to who you really are and what matters most to you.
What I offer?
I work in a time frame that suits you; short or long term pieces of work, and in a way that works best for you; as an individual, as a couple or in a group setting. Exploring the relationship we hold within ourselves, with another and across a group is important in understanding how we shape others and how they shape us. As a Psychotherapist I simplify the complexities of this to help you understand how to relate better to yourself and those around you.
How I work?
I take an integrative approach to my work but am influenced by the theory of Transactional Analysis and Relational Psychoanalysis to guide it. I draw upon current neuroscience and body psychotherapy research to explore the physical, emotional and psychological aspects of our work together. Working holistically invites deeper reflection and self awareness of you as a client, and of myself as a practitioner.
Getting started is easy!
- Either ring, text or email me for an initial consultation.
- We can then arrange a session to explore what you want from therapy and most importantly, whether my style of practice suits you.
