Hi, my name is Clare and you are very welcome to view my profile. I am qualified as an Integrative Counsellor which basically means I will work with you in a way that best suits your needs, the therapy is individual to you and what works for you as an individual ensuring the best possible outcome, using a number of therapeutic approaches, including Humanistic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person Centred, Brief Therapy and Psychodynamic theories. I am a member of the BACP which means I have a professional code of conduct to adhere to, working within a strict code of ethics and guidelines.
I have listed some areas I have experience and training in (which is ongoing) but I feel more importantly to note is the experience I have gained through working with people. Helping people adjust, accept, change the place they find themselves in through their difficulties they have encountered in their lives.
I offer a warm, confidential, non judgemental approach enabling you to explore and express your feelings in a safe environment regarding any difficult issues you have encountered or are encountering at this present time.
I have witnessed first hand the empowering effect counselling can have on people's lives and is something I am very grateful to be a part of.
I am very passionate about this profession and I look forward to being with you on your path of discovery. I believe if you are ready to embrace and engage in counselling, be honest and true to yourself; then you can make a positive difference to your life.
