Clare Burley BA (Hons) MBACP
I believe that we all have potential. There is hope and a desire to overcome life's difficulties the best we can. This can mean trying to cope with relationship problems, anxiety, depression and other issues.
Life can be a struggle, navigating what life throws at you at is a challenge. Sometimes it can be difficult to get through hard times, other times we want to make changes, but aren't sure how or when.
Coming for counselling is entering a safe and supportive space, dedicated to you. A place to share your thoughts and your emotions, to really express yourself, talk and explore difficulties from the past or present, in confidence.I believe everyone needs a place where they are able to be themselves. I would like to offer you that space, as an opportunity to grow in self awareness and self compassion.
My role is to be alongside you, as a counsellor, yet also as a fellow human being, helping to explore your thoughts and feelings. Together we can work to open up new possibilities and ways of thinking. I offer you a caring and warm environment, to listen with respect to what you want to bring, in your own time, to help draw on your personal resources and inner strength to be able to move forward. From personal experience, therapy has been a source of inspiration, change and comfort.
I am an Integrative, Relational Counsellor which means that I draw from a range of theoretical knowledge, including Humanistic, Psychodynamic approaches and Cognitive Behavioural techniques. This helps me adapt to your individual needs. Being Relational, honours and recognises the interconnectedness with others and ourselves, and I aim to engage in what is meaningful to you.
I offer short term and long term one to one, face to face counselling, dependent on your needs.
