About me

I am Claire Wyatt and I am a Humanistic Integrative Psychotherapist working in Newark and the surrounding area.

I have successfully completed a BSc (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy with the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute in Nottingham (validated by Staffordshire University) and have recently completed an MSc Psychology (Conversion) qualification with the University of Chester.

I have been a practising Humanistic Integrative therapist since 2014, as part of my degree and a registered member, working towards accreditation with the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP).

As a Humanistic Integrative therapist and as a human being, I believe in the human capacity for change and growth. I believe our experience shapes our humanity and from birth, our need for relationship is intrinsic. Every person navigates their own path through life, a unique creation of the lived understanding of their experience.

I experience my clients holistically, noticing the emotional, physiological, psychological and spiritual life of the client, understanding that sometimes growth and change occurs simply through acceptance. I practice unconditional acceptance and non-judgement, with the belief that all human behaviour carries some meaning. Kindness, empathy, compassion and respect underlies my relationship with clients.
