About me

I am a qualified Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist, currently practicing within the NHS. I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists) and COSRT (College of Sexual and Relationship Therapy) and I follow their code of ethics.

I provide psychosexual therapy to clients from diverse educational and vocational backgrounds with psychosexual issues. I use an integrative approach, offering non-judgemental therapy to couples and individuals of any age, gender or sexual orientation. This includes various approaches including education and normalisation.

Common sexual problems which can be treated effectively with psychosexual therapy include: dyspareunia, vaginismus, anorgasmia, erectile dysfunction, rapid ejaculation, delayed ejaculation. I also work with sex addiction and I offer support for partners or family members affected by addictions. Other issues include difficulties associated with age, illness, gender identity, disability, menopause, lack of desire, use of pornography and past sexual abuse.

As a specialist in relationship therapy, I provide therapeutic support to heterosexual and same sex couples and individuals with relationship and psychological issues. Treatment involves, use of various communication tools, education and normalisation.

I currently work for the NHS in various clinics around Lancashire and St. Mary's Hospital, Manchester, where I have gained an extensive amount of experience in all areas of psychosexual therapy.

I also gained experience in workplace issues, having worked alongside Human Resources, in a large media organisation for over 18 years.

One never knows what path their life is going to take. Everybody’s road is different and we all cope in our own way. Some of us cope with issues as they happen, others put them away in the hope they will disappear. However big or small your issue is or however smooth or rough your road of life is, Well Road Therapy will help you deal with it in a way that’s comfortable for you.

Please feel free to contact me where we can discuss, in complete confidentiality, the possibility of working together.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
