Ciara Smyth,MSc,HDip Psych, BA Hons,UKCP Registered,MBACP
So, a bit about me. I am a UKCP accredited and BACP registered Psychotherapist and a Supervisor. My core training is in person centred psychotherapy, and I continue to update my skills, attending various other training courses, all of which have increased my knowledge and experience.
I believe that everyone has within them the answers and direction they need to live a happy, fulfilled life. However, life is not always easy to navigate, and often we can get lost on our journeys. At such times, we need some support to get back on our healthy, happy paths.
I offer a non-judgemental, client focused style of therapy, which puts you in the driving seat. I walk along side you, supporting you to explore whatever issues you so wish. This ensures that, once our work together is finished, you will be able to understand and manage your own thoughts, feelings and behaviours and thus lead a life consistent with what you want.
I have experience in a variety of different areas and have worked successfully with both men and women. I have a special interest and training in Eating Disorders, having trained at the National Centre for Eating Disorders in London.
I currently have some free spaces for Supervisee's, available whilst I am continuing my training in this area.
Please do feel free to contact me for a chat, by email or phone. It is so important that you find a therapist that fits and works for you and I would be delighted to give you any more information you might require to help you make that decision.
