About me

I am a person centred counsellor & Clinical Supervisor with over 20 years experience offering a warm comfortable environment, providing a personal confidential service to anyone who finds themselves in need of counselling support at a difficult time of their life.

Offering a time for you to talk and explore your worries or anxieties in a safe place, some issues maybe personal in nature, for example trauma, bereavement, relationship or emotional problems, abuse, work or family related issues to name a few, issues are all individual and diverse, no matter what the issue may be, talking to a counsellor can help you make sense of what is happening to you and help you make choices to consider ways of making things better.

I am professionally qualified and member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and practice within the guidelines of the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice. I have over 20 years experience of counselling.  Working within private practice, charitable organisations and also within the NHS.

Offering a fully inclusive, accessible service to anyone who needs help irrespective of their background, cultural beliefs or gender.

I can offer Face to Face Counselling or via zoom or another online platform making counselling more accessible to you wherever you are.

At the Centre we have disabled access and also free car parking, also offering counselling outside of office hours, appointment available within the hours of 8am - 8pm and Saturday mornings.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
