Dramatherapy is an expressive therapy which provides a safe space for the exploration of blocks and painful emotional issues through the use of a variety of techniques which include exercises, objects, role play, scripts, puppets, stories and movement. Dramatherapists believe in the innate creativity of each individual to access her own healing by bypassing the intellect and allowing the latent abilities of each individual to surface.
Dramatherapy sessions last from one to two hours. The number of sessions depends on the problem to be addressed and the goals agreed between therapist and client.
The profession is regulated by the Health and Care and Professions - a Government Statutory organisation.
I am a member of the British, American, Australian and New Zealand Dramatherapy Associations.
I offer a service to both individuals and groups and I am available during the day, evenings and weekends Monday to Friday.
