Christina Shoben MBACP Reg
Our journey in life becomes marked with our experiences. In protecting ourselves, we cause ourselves damage because we are unable to see the whole picture. Signals get misinterpreted as we grow up and damage continues to follow. I help you to recognise where everything starts and help you to move on, feeling empowered and self-accepting.
How I can help
I work with anxiety, fear, depression, self-abuse and abusive relationships, eating disorders, bereavement, communication problems, stress, anger and trauma.
I come from a diverse, multicultural background and have experience working with alcoholics, the homeless, drug addicts, ex-offenders and with many people from differing cultures and backgrounds.
I have worked as a qualified counsellor for 18 years with people with learning difficulties, aspergers, victims of child abuse, mental health issues and more.
I have had a private practice for six years and have worked with local authorities.
Who I can help
Vulnerable children, young adults, families and couples.
I offer both one to one and group sessions.
