About me
I am a Chartered and HCPC registered Counselling Psychologist and Specialist Couples Therapist with Ten years experience working as a therapist with individuals, couples and groups. I have also trained in Essential Supervisory Skills and am welcoming of colleagues and students seeking clinical supervision.
What to expect
As a Counselling Psychologist I am able to call upon a number of therapeutic models to tailor treatment to meet the individual needs of my clients, with the overall aim of achieving specific goals. I am a great believer that therapy is not a one size fits all method of treatment for psychological and emotional difficulties. I work strongly guided by this principle and aim to create a safe and non-judgemental environment where clients feel encouraged to take an active and collaborative role in their treatment.
After you make contact with me we can arrange our first session. This session aims to provide you the opportunity to begin exploring the difficulties that have prompted you to seek psychological support. In doing so I will assess what approach may best suit your needs and goals and work alongside you to find the best way forward.
Virtual sessions are available for clients in various locations around the world. Please enquire for more details.

Please enquire about any difficulties not listed.
I am passionate about working both with individuals and couples, and have a number of years experience delivering stress and anxiety management groups. I welcome enquiries about delivering psychological courses within organisations. I welcome clients from all backgrounds, varying in ages from children to older adulthood.
I am a registered Affiliate Psychologist with a number of insurance companies, please enquire for more information. I can provide assessment reports if required-costs are negotiated with the healthcare company.
Training, qualifications & experience
- I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist, trained in Person-Centred/Experiential Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR- Level 3 & EMDR 2.0 for Complex PTSD), which is a specific treatment approach for trauma and a number of other difficulties. I am a DBT informed clinician, following completing specialised DBT training and also work strongly guided by Polyvagal Theory, with the aim of strengthening nervous system regulation. I am also trained in a specialist approach to Couples Therapy called the Bader-Pearson Developmental Model of Couples Therapy, which aims to identify which developmental stage a couple has become stuck in, and provide the guidance and skills needed to begin moving forward again. I have a particular enthusiasm for working with couples and very much enjoy the process of arming couples with the tools they need to improve their relationship.
I have completed BPS recognised training in supervision, and am welcoming of both Psychologists in training and accredited Psychologists looking for supervision. A reduced fee is available for students.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
