Hello, my name is Chrissy, and I provide counselling and psychotherapy in London. You could be finding lots of things difficult to understand or cope with at this time, perhaps due to something which happened in the past or something more recent. I will help you to work through what is happening for you right now. We can explore whether it will be helpful for us at this time to explore your past or your present situation, or a combination of these.
Whatever you are experiencing, I will tailor my approach to explore different parts of your life to provide you with ways of coping, alternate perspectives and an impartial ear to support you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I currently hold a Bsc (hons) Psychology, and a PG Certificate, PG Diploma and an MSc in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy. My MSc is recognised by the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) who are my ethical body, and I adhere to their guidelines within my practice.
The integrative approach that I use incorporates techniques such as CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), person centred therapy, and psychodynamic attachment theory. When we meet, it will give me a chance to review what you're bringing to the therapy and what you want to work on, and I then tailor my approach to suit your needs.
I see therapy as a collaborative process in which you play an active and equal part in exploring your inner world and experiences.
I started my counselling career alongside studying for my psychology degree, working with other students to run Nightline, which was a telephone service dedicated to offering students emotional support and advice. I have also had experience of counselling people through Mind, who I have been with for 4 years, working with people of all different ages and from different walks of life. Mind is a charity which offers many different types of support for anyone suffering from mental ill health, including counselling.

You can call or email me to arrange a phone consultation (lasting 10-15 minutes), so that I can give you a broad idea of how we could work together. From there, we can arrange our initial session.
My fees for individual sessions are £55. Payment is required before or at the time of the appointment. Payment will still be required for late cancellations or missing a scheduled session outside of 48 hours notice.
Each session, including our initial consultation, will last for 50 minutes.
