Hello my name is Chris, I am a Lincoln based Integrative Counsellor, this means I use several proven theories of Counselling depending on the presenting issues. This allows me to adapt my approach to help with different situations which life can throw at us.

I am a registered member of the BACP ( British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists) and abide by their ethical code of practice. I see professional development as a vital part of my progress as a Counsellor and regularly involve myself in training events.
I have been working with people in crisis for over 20 years and during this time feel this has given me a greater awareness of how people deal with situations in different ways. It has raised my understanding of not only the difficulties people face but how much we all need support and guidance at certain times of our lives. I have worked as a 121 counsellor within a hospice setting, university well-being centre and within private practice. Also as a lecturer at college.

I have over 20 years experience of working with people who have witnessed crisis situations. This has enhanced my awareness and understanding of how we can all struggle with the challenges that life can bring us, and that we all may need the help and support from someone which they can trust to guide us through these difficult times.
My experience as a Counsellor has brought me a challenging mix of working on a one to one basis at my local Hospice and working alongside young Adults at my local University.
Counselling can be challenging, however this can often lead to a new outlook on life and an overall improvement in well being.
Remember....."life is not about staying indoors because it is raining, it is about going outside and enjoying getting wet."
Each Counselling session is for 60 minutes, my professional charge is £35 per session.
Your initial session will be at a reduced rate.
Some concessions are available.
Skype Counselling Sessions are available at a charge of £30 per 60 minute session.
Home visits optional.
Counselling is unique as it allows you to meet someone you have not met before, to be able to discuss and develop a relationship in a neutral environment where you can feel listened to, supported, and free to discuss issues which can be difficult to face with others.
