Have you come to a point where you need someone to just listen? Do you feel weighed down with emotions that you don’t fully understand? Are you feeling lost and want to find a new direction in life?
At certain points in our lives we can feel a little overwhelmed, just needing a space where we can off load our problems and worries. I offer a non-judgemental and supportive environment where we can work together to help move you in a direction that brings positive change. My empathic approach offers understanding and appreciation of the difficult times that you may be going through.
Often the people I work with don’t know exactly what is wrong, only that they are struggling in some way and want to feel better again. This can be confusing and frustrating as you may feel that you cannot get away from these emotions. Counselling can offer a companion to help make sense of your inner world and experiences so that you can find your own answers and understanding.
Every person is unique with their own way of interacting which is why I approach each new counselling relationship differently according to the needs of the individual.
Whatever your reasons for seeking out counselling, we can work together towards a brighter and more positive future.
"When I came to Chris for counselling, he really allowed me to feel relaxed and able in completely off loading the anxieties and worries I had going around in my head about my life. Before I came to Chris I was deeply unsure about whether my words and actions with others were being interpreted, as genuine and assertive as I'd intended, leaving me feeling depressed and purposeless. Since seeing Chris for Counselling however, I'm really noticing the positive changes in my attitudes about how I approach and deal with actions, people and my moods on a daily basis. I'm left feeling a lot more acceptance for myself and my life as it is for most around me. I'm also left feeling I appreciate other people for who they are, and not just how they're being to me. I think what did this was Chris' approach to listening inventively, allowing for things to develop naturally in the sessions, and always being able to recall and talk about things we'd discussed previously, and most of all, challenging my thinking in a genuinely empathetic way. I wish him all the best, as he certainly helped me in enabling that to myself"
