Chiltern Counselling provides counselling for anyone who may be feeling depressed, anxious, has suffered loss or is finding it difficult to make or maintain relationships socially, at home or at work. You may find that events that happened many years ago are continuing to affect you now and are making life difficult for you. Alternatively, you may be experiencing a current situation which has upset your sense of who you are and is leaving you feeling alone, isolated and unable to share it with anyone. Our counsellors are here to listen and to help you find ways of understanding and coping with whatever is troubling you.

Other areas of counselling we deal with
We offer counselling for anyone who is feeling troubled by aspects of their life they feel they cannot control. Our counsellors are trained to listen very carefully and take your feelings seriously in order to help you regain your sense of yourself and where you may find yourself at this moment in time.
To make therapy affordable for everyone, regardless of ability to pay, we operate a sliding scale of fees.
This means that people on higher incomes are asked to pay higher but realistic fees so that we can cover the costs of our clinical work with people on low incomes.
The fee for an Initial Consultation is £50. If you or your household is unwaged then the fee is £20.
Fees for ongoing sessions will be negotiated with your counsellor but the minimum fee is £15 per session.
Please note that you will be expected to pay for any missed/cancelled sessions except for sessions cancelled by your counsellor. This is to enable us to maintain your regular appointment time for the duration of your counselling.
