Profile

Thank you for reading my profile.

My name is Chi. I have many years experience of working with individuals and couples from diverse backgrounds under private practice, for the National Health Service, and in the voluntary sector. I am a qualified counsellor, a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and also a member of the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapy (COSRT).

I came Hong Kong so my upbringing provides an excellent insight into different traditions, culture and religions. I am approachable with an ability to engage and to build rapport with people from all walks of life.

I believe that counselling can be beneficial for everyone who seeks meaning in life. It is a very powerful tool and provides an excellent platform to explore and reflect important issues in an environment that is safe and confidential.

Counselling is not about giving advice or providing solutions. It is about empowerment and self growth that could be encouraged and facilitated during counselling process.

Depending on individual circumstances, I offer counselling/ therapy in an integrated approach with the emphasis on maximising individuals potential.

All my counselling work is supervised and is adhered to the ethical framework from BACP.

All my Psycho-sexual therapeutic work is supervised and adhered to the Code of Practice from COSRT.

I offer flexible daytime and evening appointments in a safe and comfortable environment in Preston and Blackburn.

Further Information

For me, counselling is an amazing job. I have met many wonderful people who have enriched my life when we have walked the journey together.

Counselling is not just for anxiety or depression, a lot of people use counselling as a reflexive tool to improve and better ourselves.

I feel privileged to be in a position where mutual trust and respect are central to my work.

Sometimes it is hard to make changes, and taking the first step can be even harder.

I am ready to walk the journey with you if you are ready to take that first step.

Thank you for reading.
