About me

If you are seeking help and support in dealing with issues on emotional and psychological health, you have come to the right place. I appreciate that this cannot have been easy for you.

As a qualified counsellor and registered member of both The British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapy (BACP) and The Association of Christian Counsellors (ACC), I provide a completely non-judgemental counselling service. My aim is to provide an affordable, safe and confidential service to you, whatever your reason for seeking counselling. You will be supported and provided with a confidential, safe and comfortable space to explore your presenting issues.

The therapeutic approaches that I will apply will be unique to you and your circumstance. You will receive undistracted time and attention and I will offer you a compassionate, respectful and empathic environment where you can be free to talk and facilitate your desired changes. You will be honoured and esteemed, no matter your walk of life.

I look forward to meeting with you

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Diploma of Higher Education in Therapeutic Counselling. My experience is in working with adults and adolescents in dealing with anger, anxiety, bullying, bereavement and relationships, among others. I also work with persons who just want to better themselves emotionally and behaviourally (Personal Development).

I have experience in working in Further Education (FE) setting and in general counselling, alongside people who need support, those who are grieving or those who just want a compassionate and listening ear to talk and be listened to. I attend on-going personal & professional development program (CPD) and clinical supervision for the benefit of my practice and my clients.

Further information

I am passionate about enabling people to discover the unique resources within themselves and to facilitate the outworking of those resources. I do this by publishing articles, speaking in forums and counselling individuals one-to-one. I am also developing my repertoire as a trainer. My areas of speciality are on attachment, bullying (both workplace and in schools/colleges), boundaries and assertiveness.

I work from clean, comfortable and conveniently located premises at Wakefield and Leeds City Centre, all situated within short walking distance from the train and bus stations/stops, with ample parking nearby.
