About me

At some point in our lives we all experience challenges, emotional difficulties and uncertainties. These can make us feel anxious, distressed and overwhelmed. Sometimes we turn to those around us for support, yet this may not feel enough or we may feel we can't be fully open through fear of judgement. This is when counselling/psychotherapy may help.

I offer a confidential and safe space where you can explore your experiences and feelings without judgement. Whether you are experiencing relationship issues, anxiety, anger, depression, trauma, eating issues, addiction, sexual issues or bereavement, counselling focuses on your individual experience. It may help you to gain new insights, a deeper sense of who you are and what you may be finding difficult. Counselling can enhance your self-esteem, confidence and relationships with others. Counselling can help you to live a fuller and freer life, enabling you to make changes if you desire. This may be achieved by self reflection and by exploring unconscious communications.

I am a qualified counsellor/psychotherapist. I trained at the University of Hertfordshire for five years, exiting with a Masters Degree. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by the BACP’s ethical framework for good practice in counselling and psychotherapy. The BACP is a professional organisation that represents counselling and psychotherapy in the UK. I am also a member of the Association for Infant Mental Health and the Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists in North London.

As well as working in private practice I also work for a local counselling charity and have previously worked for MIND a mental health organisation and Highgate Counselling Centre.

I am strongly committed to continuing professional development. I attend regular courses, seminars and events in order to stay up to date with current practices, research and theories.

For more information or to make an initial appointment please do not hesitate to contact me on 07864504998 or via email.
