About me

I am a Person-Centred therapist and Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling.

I have over 10 years experience working with adults, children and young people in schools and private practice. In both settings I have enjoyed working with clients who have a range of neurodivergencies  (ASD, ADHD, Dyspraxia, High Sensitivity, Dyslexia)

I offer one to one therapy in a safe, confidential space.

There are times in our lives when we can feel overwhelmed, struggling to cope with stress, anxiety, depression or trauma. Sometimes we may feel alone and stuck with our difficult thoughts and feelings - some things we may not feel comfortable discussing with friends and family.

Therapy can help.

Therapy can help you to see things from a different perspective, find clarity, feel less alone and depressed, and discover the resilience to move on and make changes.

Finding the right therapist for you is very important.

As a person centred therapist, I believe that the relationship between us is the key. We will work at your pace, I will never tell you what to do or who to be, or what is ‘right’ or ‘wrong’. You already have this knowledge. By exploring things sensitively together, and deepening your understanding of yourself, the aim is that you will begin to feel more clarity, and feel deeply supported in whatever choices you make and actions you take.

By listening deeply, understanding your experience, and exploring the world from your perspective, I walk alongside you as together we find the right path.  The path may lead you to make changes, to acceptance, to deeper understanding of yourself, and to living your life in a way that truly reflects who you want to be.

As an artist I also work creatively with my clients, using imagery to help explore what's going on for you, and providing opportunity for drawing within the space.

I aim to provide a safe supportive environment in which to develop a trusting relationship, one in which you will be heard with respect and without judgement. We will work together to explore any troubles or concerns, and towards a place in which you feel less 'stuck' and are able to move forwards.

If you feel we would work well together please contact me by email or phone and we can book an introductory session. During this first session you will be able to talk through your concerns and experience how I work to help you decide if I am the right counsellor for you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified person centred counsellor and a Registered Member of the BACP. I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling.

For the last 10 years I have built up and managed an independent counselling service within a London secondary school. I work with a small team of counsellors, provide training for the team and for counsellors from other schools.

I have developed a unique art-based programme called Mistakes Lab for year 7 pupils to help with transition and resilience, and also train others to provide this programme.

I have a private practice in which I work with Adults, young people and children from 11.

In the last 10 years I have worked with many clients with autism, ADHD, anxiety, social anxiety, identity issues, and trauma.

I attend regular clinical supervision to ensure I am providing the best possible service for my clients. The safety and wellbeing of my clients is my greatest priority. I attend regular ongoing professional training to increase my knowledge and experience of relevant issues.

I am a practising Artist.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
