About me

Hello there,

Welcome to my page.

In life we all go through difficult times and sometimes we don't know where to turn or how to begin to heal.
I can offer you the space, time, support and additional skills to help you move forward into a more mindful life.

I am a integrative counsellor, which means I bring together different elements of specific therapies. My main approach to counselling is cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). I also integrate elements of compassion focused therapy (CFT) and solution focused therapy into my work. I work with you by changing your thoughts, your perspective and most importantly the relationship you have with yourself. Together we work towards a more mindful life.

I am not just a counsellor but a mentor, I help by teaching and guiding you offering you tools and techniques you can implement into your everyday life. I also use mindfulness techniques to help you change your thoughts, attitudes and beliefs. I aim to help you find coping strategies to help manage your problems in a more effective way.

I am assertive in my practice using my mentoring skills to help motivate you into the right direction. I believe the process does not just happen in the counselling room but also during the times we do not see each other. I will offer you tasks, techniques and interventions that you can participate in, during your own time.

I have a person centred core and believe everyone of us is special and unique so I like to work with YOU, building a strong positive professional relationship, I see each person as a whole and I aim to meet your individual needs.

Take that first step with Blossom Fields counselling... feel free to contact me for more information.

I do offer concessions for individuals on lower incomes.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
