Charlene Senior - MBACP (Registered)
Hi my name is Charlene and welcome to my profile page.
Life can be overwhelming and a constant struggle at times and we all require someone to talk to, to listen to us, and to actually be heard. I understand beginning the counselling process may feel daunting, and often out of your comfort zone. However, if you do take that first step to call, meet up and see what counselling is all about, it can make a monumental difference to bring about positive changes in your life.
I endeavour to deliver professional support to both individuals and couples on a short or a long term basis. My approach to counselling is person-centred based, which in short means 'you as an individual are the expert of your own life and ultimately know what's right for you'. I believe that you yourself know what you want/need, you may just feel a little confused at present about how to find that knowledge. Talking and really being heard can help to unblock this and can be a powerful tool in helping to progress with your life in the way that is best for you.
As with any form of counselling I consider the first and most important detail is finding the right counsellor for you, one who you can connect and feel comfortable with, therefore your initial session would be free of charge.
I offer a genuine, understanding and accepting service, where you can feel safe and secure enough to discuss your feelings. My aim is to reassure you that I will listen to you without judgement and that the sessions will be set at a pace that is right for you and specifically tailored to meet your needs.
Together we can look at any difficulties/issues and address ways you could think and look at them from a completely different perspective...helping you discover that 'you' have the capability to challenge and change what is happening in your life and assist you to move forward and initiate positive change in a new and empowering way!
I look forward to hearing from you. Call, text or email for an appointment today.

" I was a counselling cynic but my attitude has completely changed following my sessions with Charlene. I had dug myself a hole I couldn’t find a way out from and I finally sought help. Discussing my issues with Charlene was like talking to my best friend from the moment I met her but without any of the judgements or disapproval that might have come from someone I already knew.
She helped me understand my problems and over a number of weeks guided me back to a happier place. I cannot thank her enough or recommend her expertise in resolving personal issues highly enough. I just wish I’d talked to her sooner.
