I am an experienced Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist working with adults on a one to one basis. I have particular interests in psychodynamics theories but also in the contemporary theories around Relationality, Embodiment and Mindfulness.
The aim of the therapeutic exploration can be to:
- Increase your overall sense of well being and improve your vitality.
- Identify and understand the roots of your difficulties.
- Manage feelings that might be experienced as overwhelming or “out of control”, such as anger, stress or anxiety.
- Understand how your past and early life might impact on your present life.
- Develop a stronger sense of yourself: who you are, what you need and want.
- improve your relationships.
- Communicate better and deepen your connection to others as well as to yourself
The first meeting will be our opportunity to discuss what brings you to therapy and whether psychotherapy is best suited to your needs. If we both decide to work together, we will agree on the day and time of our meetings. The sessions take place once a week, normally on the same day and time each week, with each session lasting 50 minutes.
By appointment only.
Training, qualifications & experience
I trained at The Minster Centre and graduated with an MA in Integrative Psychotherapy & Counselling and with an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy & Counselling. I am registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and adhere to their code of ethics and confidentiality.
I am an Integrative Psychotherapist with a particular interest in Relational Psychotherapy.
I work with adults, both men and women, who come to therapy for a wide range of personal concerns and emotional difficulties – such as depression, low self-esteem, loneliness, anxiety, relationships issues, family problems, difficult parent-child relationship or stressful working life. I also work with clients who have survived interpersonal trauma in childhood or adulthood and would like to understand the impact of the trauma on their lives.
I also have an interest into how Mindfulness can be integrated into therapeutic exploration. I have completed a Professional Training in the Therapeutic Use of Mindfulness at the British Mindfulness Institute.
