Whatever the presenting concern, I work from the premise that my clients are experts on themselves; I aim to provide a confidential, safe space for individuals to reflect on their goals and explore areas that they want to address in order for them to make sense of the past and move forward in life in a more fulfilling way.
I am experienced in dealing with anxiety and depression, which may be a product of unresolved issues in the past, or triggered by more recent experiences such as bereavement, change of career or relationship Issues. Counselling can provide a valuable opportunity to talk and reflect on these issues.
Research has shown that the alliance of the counsellor and client is one of the most important factors in a successful counselling relationship, I therefore offer a free initial session for us to meet and discuss your needs and expectations, and during this time we can decide together the best way forward.

For some a brief course of counselling to reflect on a specific issue is enough to start with (anywhere from 6-12 sessions), while others may want to explore their feelings, thoughts and behaviour patterns in more depth, in which case I can offer open ended counselling. We can discuss your individual requirements and any concerns during the consultation session.
