I am trained in advanced evidence based CBT therapeutic approaches mentioned below for maximum recovery outcome. I specialise in the treatment of Depression, OCD, BDD, PTSD and self esteem related issues including self-care for modern living helping clients to reconnect/connect to the areas in life important to them in a balanced and sustainable way.
CBT - Effective approach to overcome a range of phobias, Depression (including peri/post natal depression anxiety) and a range of Anxiety Disorders (generalised anxiety disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, illness anxiety disorder /health anxiety, social anxiety, panic disorder, post traumatic disorder, habit disorders including skin picking, body dysmorphic disorder, stress, grief, low self-esteem, and relationship difficulties.
Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) - Effective trauma treatment where clients do not wish to go into verbal depth of the trauma in session.
Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) - For those wishing to overcome low mood, stress, self criticism, relentless standards, low confidence and anxiety through the development and cultivation of a greater sense of self-compassion. It is also useful for cultivating greater awareness levels, increasing the capacity to self-soothe and regulate difficult emotions, generating feelings of internal peace and mindfulness and staying present. CFT is very effective in addressing feelings of shame or guilt in the context of depression, trauma or grief.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) - For those clients wishing to develop a greater sense of acceptance, residence and psychological flexibility in relation to their problems. ACT can be very useful in the treatment of long term health conditions as well as depression and anxiety difficulties.
Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP) - For those wishing to overcome relationship difficulties and fears which impact our ability to form balanced relationships. Most clients usually notice the pattern that they want to change and find an alternative way for them to respond tin the interactions that are important to them.
