My clinic trending-living is a forward-looking Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy Clinic that offers an experienced, professional and confidential service based in a discreet location in central Norwich. I am passionate about keeping up to date with current research developments and practice in order to maintain high standards of therapy outcomes and recovery for my clients.
In addition to CBT I am also trained in other evidence based therapeutic approaches which are sometimes used in conjunction with CBT or as a stand alone treatment in itself. At assessment, we will discuss your presenting problems and propose a treatment package based on current evidence base of most successful treatment recovery and guidelines. Therapy is about helping you to learn new ways of managing your distress and difficulties when it arises and to help you to move towards a meaningful and purposeful life that is important to you. Sessions are weekly for maximum outcome.
Traditional CBT - Effective approach to overcome a range of phobias, Depression (including peri/post natal depression anxiety) and a range of Anxiety Disorders (generalised anxiety disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, illness anxiety disorder /health anxiety, social anxiety, panic disorder, post traumatic disorder, habit disorders including skin picking, body dysmorphic disorder, stress, grief, low self-esteem, and relationship difficulties.
Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) - Effective trauma treatment where clients do not wish to go into verbal depth of the trauma in session.
Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) - For those wishing to overcome low mood, stress, self criticism, relentless standards, low confidence and anxiety through the development and cultivation of a greater sense of self-compassion. It is also useful for cultivating greater awareness levels, increasing the capacity to self-soothe and regulate difficult emotions, generating feelings of internal peace and mindfulness and staying present. CFT is very effective in addressing feelings of shame or guilt in the context of depression, trauma or grief.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) - For those clients wishing to develop a greater sense of acceptance, residence and psychological flexibility in relation to their problems. ACT can be very useful in the treatment of long term health conditions as well as depression and anxiety difficulties.
Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP) - For those wishing to overcome relationship difficulties and fears which impact our ability to form balanced relationships. Most clients usually notice the pattern that they want to change and find an alternative way for them to respond tin the interactions that are important to them.
I specialise in the treatment of Depression, OCD, PTSD and Low Self-Esteem
