I have been providing a professional service as a Psychotherapist since May 2007.

Training, qualifications & experience
I am working as a CBT therapist with Solar in the CAMHS Team with Birmingham and Solihull Mental health Foundation Trust having completed the accredited Postgraduate Diploma in CBT with Staffordshire University whilst on placement with Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust (adult services) I am a member and have applied for BABCP accreditation.
Already accredited with the UKCP Since 2011 – After qualifying as a therapist May 2007. I am in the process of completing a certificate in clinical supervisor with UKCP.
Knowledge and Experience
Most recent trained in full assessment, formulation and treatment using Cognitive behavioural Therapies in line with the competencies set out for Step 3 High-Intensity Therapist in the IAPT services.
I have been managing my own caseload as a private practitioner and in previous employments for many years both in Wolverhampton and Birmingham Healthy Minds, both IAPT services and now in CAMHS in Solihull. (As above)
I enjoy working within a multi-cultural and diverse team as well as with clients representative of the multicultural communities and diversity of those communities.
Over the course of my career, my work has been involved supporting people in one way or another from different client groups and with different needs for many years.
My experience spans 28 years and allows me to be confident in working in a therapeutic way with people from different cultures and ages and experience of working with diverse communities and within a multicultural setting. In London, Cardiff, Liverpool and now Birmingham.
Within the NHS I was part of the team providing training to users on the Introduction to CBT course, Stress control Groups, and helped co-present the mindfulness and CBT course to clients.
As a manager I have trained and supervised staff in my previous roles, such as the mental health, and wellbeing rolled out to all staff in St Helens. (Through Helena Housing)
Recently completed a CBT-E WEB-CENTRED TRAINING for people who have an eating disorder
I am qualified up to masters level with an Advanced Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy and registered and accredited with UKCP and, NRHP.
My previous work within the Health Authority, Social Services and Housing Support Services has given me a wide view and different perspectives of the many types of support that people need to move on in their lives .
I have provided both advice and training, as a manager of large and small teams of support staff and as a support worker alongside people who have had complex needs alongside carers, families and staff teams within those different services since 1987 Until May 2007, when I completed my first Diploma in Hypno-Psychotherapy.
I offer a range of services to suit the individual needs of each person who comes for Therapy. A service that is progressive and has an integrated approach to therapy.
This is important because every client is different.
I am also a qualified work coach and A1 Assessor so can provide support for you to return to work or help you realise your potential to develop your career and life choices.
