Caroline Thomson MBACP Registered Counsellor
Thankyou for stopping on my profile.
About me.......I have been involved in mental health for over ten years working with adults and young people. I have supported clients with many different issues such as emotional/physical/sexual abuse, loss, bereavement, domestic violence, low self esteem, just to name a few. I have worked at counselling agencies including Rape Crisis Counselling for survivors of sexual violence and historic sexual abuse (male & female), Service Six providing therapeutic support for adolescents and the Women's Centre supporting health & wellbeing. I am very passionate about every person finding their voice again. I find it very natural to empathise with people based on the life experiences I have had which have been challenging. I have my own counselling business where I can offer home visits to avoid the inconvenience of travelling(providing it isn't too far from Corby) and to offer flexible times to suit your circumstances or I have premises where it will be a safe, relaxed and comfortable room for one hour counselling.
What will counselling be like.......the opportunity to receive confidential, warm, nurturing and non-judgemental support. I can be there to hold a safe space to explore your deepest fears, hopes, memories, thoughts and feelings. To be vulnerable is extremely hard to do when you have been hurt or when you don't know how, if you feel really alone with all your worries, I can support you. As a person centred counsellor, I would encourage you to explore and express your feelings, developing into a growing sense of self awareness, to be more 'real' and accepting of yourself, to feel empowered and to have a clearer understanding of your experiences and who you are.
