I am a qualified counsellor and a member of the BACP. I am passionate about empowering my clients to uncover patterns of thoughts and behaviours which are detrimental to their own well-being and relationships with others. I specialise in working through issues relating to stress, anxiety and anger. My approach varies depending on what I feel will be beneficial for the individual and their needs as we seek to identify the best solutions to be able understand issues now and manage them in the future.
I work with you by exploring your unconscious beliefs, values and emotional needs to help discover the root cause of the issues you have been experiencing. Needs and values may include emotional stability, to build a strong connection with those you love, to feel like you have a purpose and are growing or it may be the need to discover your own sense of identity and feel more comfortable with being you.
My aim is to create a space for you to unpack all of the issues and emotions spinning round the mind and body and to work through areas of pain and hurt so that they can be confronted, understood and so the residual suffering can be greatly reduced. We can then build on that learning to identify other options for you and allow you to make more beneficial choices in future. By working through areas that can drain you both physically and mentally this creates more energy that can be filtered into experiencing greater comfort, balance and well-being.
It is important to have a counselling relationship where you feel at ease, in a safe environment where you feel able to be honest and open. If you are not sure whether I may be the counsellor for you or you would like some further information or to ask any questions please do contact me by either telephone or email.
