About me

I have worked as a counsellor and psychotherapist in many different settings which include GP surgery, NHS psychotherapy service, schools, university, charities and private practice.

Qualified supervisor for other therapists and counsellors
in addition to counselling and psychotherapy I offer supervision to practising counsellors and psychotherapists. I am able to offer both individual and group supervision.

My work has taken me to countries such as Australia and India. I offer one on one sessions of counselling and psychotherapy to adults. My work includes mindfulness, CBT, ACT and other forms of talking therapy.

Sessions last for 50 minutes and are available on the hour from 8am to 5pm inclusive. Some evening and Saturday sessions may also be available.

I am fully accredited with the UKCP. I was a fully accredited clinical member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA)

Training, qualifications & experience

My qualifications include MA in Psychotherapy (Middlesex University)

Diploma in Psychotherapy (The Minster Centre)

Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling (Reading University)

Diploma in the art and craft of individual and group supervision (Cascade)

Diploma in Sandplay Therapy and Symbol Work

MBSR certificate, and ASIST suicide awareness training.

My experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist spans over 20 years working in. variety of settings, here and in Australia. Currently I work in private practice mainly with adults who present with a wide range of issues. I am highly skilled at developing a therapeutic relationship with my clients and offering them a space space in which to unfold and share their concerns. Mindfulness forms a backdrop within which I work, enabling clients to become increasingly aware of themselves and their current difficulties.

In addition to offering counselling and psychotherapy sessions, I am also an experienced supervisor of counsellors and psychotherapists, offering them the opportunity to present their clients' concerns and work through any difficulties emerging through the work.
