Profile

Hello, my name's Caroline and I'm a BACP Accredited counsellor. I have over ten years experience of counselling clients with a variety of issues including stress, depression, relationship worries, alcohol problems, bereavement, emotional, physical & sexual abuse and much more.

My therapeutic background is humanistic and working mainly from a person-centred perspective, I incorporate techniques taken from other approaches to suit individuals' needs.

My counselling room is ideally situated in the garden of my home, overlooking the beautiful Worcestershire countryside. The tranquillity of the environment helps to enhance the therapeutic process.

The location is easily accessible from a main road and bus route. Parking is available.

Wherever possible, I offer sessions at a convenient time for you, including evenings and weekends.

This has not only had a very positive influence on my life but has also turned around the way I look at counselling-now I know that there are people out there who can talk to you and understand what's happening to you.'

'Thank you so much for your time and your patience. Your unselfish giving to me as another person helped me to feel supported during our sessions and gave me the confidence to explore my problems with you.'

and from my last employer...

She is an accredited counsellor with BACP and adheres closely to a code of conduct /ethics. Caroline also attends for clinical supervision with an accredited supervisor which ensures that she is working appropriately and safely with her clients and clients should be comforted that they are getting a professional service.'

Therapies Offered

Fees

Most people feel apprehensive before coming to counselling and as it is important that you should feel comfortable talking to me, our initial consultation will last 90 minutes ; this gives us an opportunity to see how I can best be of help and the chance to see if I am the right counsellor for you.

Individual counselling
Initial session of 90 minutes at a cost of £60.
All further sessions (50 minutes) will be £45/session

Couples Counselling
Initial session of 90 minutes at a cost of £70
All further sessions (50 minutes) will be £55/ session

Cancellations should be made 24 hours in advance in order to avoid fee payment.

Payment is preferred at the end of each session by cash or cheque.

Further Information

Counselling sessions are usually weekly and last for 50 minutes.

At our first appointment we talk about what it is you would like to gain from counselling and agree to how many times we are going to meet. I aim to book several appointments ahead so that sessions can be put into busy diaries. I will try to accommodate requests for evening and weekend appointments wherever possible.

Together with you, I will review our work at every sixth session. This gives us both an opportunity to feed back how we feel the process is going.

Counselling is a way of enabling choice or change or of reducing confusion.  It does not involve giving advice or directing a client to take a particular course of action.
