Caroline Bailey BA (Hons)
Hi my name is Caroline. I am a qualified Humanistic Integrative Counsellor and have been working as a Counsellor for four years. I have experience in both long and short term therapy. My style of working entails using an approach which is supportive, accepting and gently challenging. The emphasis is to adopt a warm, non-judgemental approach and to establish an honest therapeutic relationship whereby clients can freely express and explore their thoughts and feelings which will allow them to gain more insight of any patterns that have been affecting their life at present. I enjoy working with people who are from diverse backgrounds and cultures and who are across the age span.
My aim is to help you to find your way through whatever difficulties you may be facing. I hope that this will increase your self-confidence and also your ability to enjoy life.
We will work together to try to make sense of what is happening just now.
As I do not employ a ‘one size fits all approach’, sessions are conducted around the individual needs of my clients, as their needs are unique to them. My belief is that everyone has the capability within them to face their difficulties, however, I understand that at times they may feel stuck and unable to do so. It could be they find it difficult to build trust, may feel judged, guilty or even find that they constantly live in the past
I can offer an environment which is: -
I am also a registered member of the BACP and adhere to their Code of Ethics regarding professional confidentiality and to the BACP Ethical Practice and Professional Standards. All calls and initial assessments are in the strictest confidence.
I have received training in safe guarding, Attachment and Loss and Play Therapy and express great interest in attending workshops based on addictions and domestic violence.
Once you have made your enquiry and booked an initial consultation, an assessment will take place, lasting approximately 60 minutes. We will run through a series of questions which will greatly help in assessing your needs for coming to therapy and to also give you the opportunity to decide whether therapy is for you.
