"We need balance in our lives to feel content " yet when something is troubling us we can feel very anxious and it can become really difficult, sometimes overwhelming. Whether you are drawn to counselling because of a life challenge, a specific issue you would like to change, a behavior you would prefer to be different, to find resolution or perhaps to evolve yourself, Carole, with a wealth of strategies for successful change, acceptance and/or resolution, can help.
"... I feel so relaxed saying no these days, but more important I feel so good when I say "Yes" knowing I have the confidence to, I used to feel panic all the time' I know you will say thank yourself, but I THANK YOU" JB Cambs
SPECIALIST RELATIONSHIP COUNSELLING:-
Clients often stop relating with one another and push problems under the carpet because they are frightened if they acknowledg the relationship has a problem that it could be the end and they sometimes feel so apprehensive and frightened and then only come when someone threatens to leave, leaves, or has an affair.
We are instinctively drawn to sharing our life with a partner and when its good and we can relate with one another it can leave people feeling united, yet the very opposite happens when the relationship has problems and we are not relating, we often become contemptuous and hurtful and just can't relate which impacts on our children, work family and friends and systematically chips at the relationship.
Carole has specialised in relationship counselling for many years and is the founder of The Cambridge Programme for Relationships (CPR for relationships) , training fellow counsellors in a fresh new approach.
We aim to keep our charges as low as possible and have been advised by clients that our charges are considerably less than the charity RELATE.
"... When we were told by previous counsellor, after approaching her with relationship issues, that we should split up I felt so angry with her, we didn't do as we were told, but instead put a sticky plaster over the problems until eventually "the affair". I didn't think I could ever trust him again. But you were so patient, so able to see through us. Now I look back, the affair was the worst but also the best thing that could have happened. Luckily we didn't split up. Thank you so much for being you". HK
"contemplating divorce - splitting up, was the best thing that happened to us, we found a platform to be honest with one another about how we had been feeling, we realised we both felt the same but had been frightened to mention it, instead we moved forward, made changes and moved our relationship to a different level - highly recommended" JB Cambs
SINGLE FOR SOME TIME
We can sometimes "give up" on relationships, it can feel heartbreaking to have a number of them go wrong, we start to look in on ourselves and believe we will never find love. Here at Serendipity Counselling we work using our specialist relationship programme to evolve our clients. Please contact us for further information
"I was recommended to see Carole by a friend who had been in the same position, she is lovely, caring, patient, determined, and wont let you give in or hide anywhere. I had, had just one relationship lasting more than three years, and I was 37, I had giving up, surrendered to not having children, despite desperately wanting them. We worked firstly on me, then me in a couple situation, then me as I met men, until I met the most perfect man" J St Ives (married 2014)
FAMILY THERAPY:- When we have problems within the family it can lead to stress and have an impact on our work, our health, relationships, extended family, school and friends. We all need to feel "safe" and home is the usual place to feel this, when our home life is disrupted our entire lives can go out of balance. We offer science based family counselling where each individual is as important as the next, we work on communication and skills to ensure problems are dealt with in positive ways.
"... I really thought my second marriage was going to fail because I just couldn't get along with my step-son. We just booked a walking holiday in Wales, just the two of us - Thank you so very much." RB St Ives.
