Profile
My core approach is humanistic. This means that in the therapeutic relationship, I work with your unique experience and how this has informed how you think about yourself, relationships and the world in which you live. Therefore, I will not ‘categorise’ or ‘label’ I acknowledge each individual’s experience as valid.
I offer a safe, supportive, non-judgemental environment where you will have someone to listen to your innermost thoughts and feelings. A key part of my work is the quality of the relationship I build with each person I see. I will work with you, encouraging you to participate in finding a focus to the work, identifying and setting goals and reviewing our progress at appropriate intervals. I will help you understand your thoughts, feelings and behaviours, to look at situations and issues which are causing you distress and feel enabled to achieve your goals, accepting what cannot be changed.
