Occasionally we may all experience thoughts and feelings that may cause us difficulty and impact upon us in our everyday lives. As a qualified Person-Centred Counsellor I will offer you the space to explore anything you are finding difficult.
In my work as a qualified Person-Centred Counsellor I will encourage and support you in working through or coming to terms with anything that you may be finding difficult.
I really enjoy helping individuals by listening, encouraging and supporting you with anything that is causing you distress, such as unresolved issues from the past or things that may be present in your everyday.
I offer empathy, genuiness, and a non-judgmental attitude. All sessions will be in a confidential environment and at a pace that is led by you.
As a mature adult who has faced many challenges myself in life, I can fully understand how difficult, even daunting, taking that first step towards counselling can be.
I am an individual registered member of the (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy) a professional body. I adhere to the ethical guidelines for good practice.
This means that I have regular supervision to ensure that any problems or concerns to do with my work are carefully monitored, so that boundaries are maintained and ethical consideration is given to clients at all times.
I work from my own office in Witham, CM8.
How Person-Centred Therapy Works?
Our first session will be an assessment session at a reduced fee of £25.00. This session will be for you to talk about any issues or concerns you may have, and what you would like to get out of counselling, and decide whether we can work together.
All counselling sessions will be weekly on the same day and at the same time every week. If we decide we can work together a contract will then be agreed for six further sessions. During our work together, towards the end of our time together, we can review if you would like to finish counselling, have longer term counselling i.e., move into open time/open ended time. I offer short term or longer term counselling, depending on your needs.
Counselling sessions will take place in my therapy room in Witham, where I will provide a safe & confidential environment where trust can be built and you can feel comfortable enough to talk about anything that is troubling you, may be causing you distress.
- Daytime appointments Monday-Friday 9am - 5pm. Fee £35.00.
I also offer evening/saturday appointments, subject to availability.

During the months of June, July, August, September, I offer my clients outdoor therapy PCWT - Person-Centred Walking Therapy sessions.
PCWT is offered in Witham CM8 only - Monday-Friday 9am-4pm.
How PCWT Works?
Our first initial assessment session will be for 50 minutes and will take place in the therapy room. This session will be for you to talk about what you wish to get out of counselling, and what you want to bring. Once we have agreed whether we can work together we can agree a place where you would like to meet each week.
Counselling sessions will take place on the same day and at the same time and at the same place each week. We will then discuss boundaries and agree a contract for you to have six sessions to start. I offer short term (six sessions) and longer term therapy depending on your needs. This will be reviewed with you during our time together towards the end of therapy.
Witham has many lovely areas to enjoy. The River Brain joins the Blackwater in Whet Mead in Witham. The aim of outdoor therapy sessions is to provide you with a therapeutic space where can look at anything that may be troubling you. Therapy will be at your own pace, and maintaining boundaries and confidentially will be key.
Taking your therapy sessions outside can help bring that feel good factor, talking whilst walking along and enjoying the fresh air, sunshine, and relaxing scenery.
If the weather is bad then you can choose to have your session indoors in the counselling room, the choice is entirely yours.
