Occasionally we may all experience thoughts and feelings that may cause us difficulty and impact upon us in our everyday lives.
In my work as a qualified Person-Centred Counsellor I will encourage and support you in working through or coming to terms with anything that you may be finding difficult.
I really enjoy helping individuals by listening, encouraging and supporting you with anything that is causing you distress, such as unresolved issues from the past or things that may be present in your everyday.
I offer empathy, genuiness, and a non-judgmental attitude. All sessions will be in a confidential environment and at a pace that is led by you.
As a mature adult who has faced many challenges myself in life, I can fully understand how difficult, even daunting, taking that first step towards counselling can be.
I am an individual registered member of the (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy) a professional body. I adhere to the ethical guidelines for good practice.
This means that I have regular supervision to ensure that any problems or concerns to do with my work are carefully monitored, so that boundaries are maintained and ethical consideration is given to clients at all times.
I work from my own office in Witham, CM8.
How It works
- Our first session will be an assessment session at a reduced fee £25.00. This first initial session will be 50 minutes and will be for you to talk about any issues or concerns you may have, and what you would like to get out of counselling.
Sessions will be weekly on the same day and at the same time each week. If we decide we can work together a contract will be agreed for six further sessions.
During our work together, towards the end of sixth session, or before, we can review if you would like to finish counselling, or have longer term counselling (move into open time).
Counselling sessions will take place in my therapy room in Witham, a confidential environment where trust can be built and you can feel comfortable enough to talk about anything that may be causing you distress.
Daytime sessions are between 9am - 5pm and the fee is £35.00. (Parking is nearby and there are good transport links).
I offer Evening appointments between 6pm - 8pm & Saturday morning appointments between 9am - 11am. (Please contact me for fees/availability. (Parking is available evenings & saturday mornings only).
I offer a concessionary fee of £25.00 for individuals on a low income (Proof required).
All counselling sessions are for 50 minutes.
- If you would like counselling or are unsure about taking that first step and would like to know more, please telephone me on 07714 790938 - Confidential Voicemail Service. (If i am unable to take your call as I may be with a client, please leave your name, a contact number, and short message, and I will call you back within 24 hours) or email Carol: email@example.com

Between June-September I give my clients the choice of having their therapy sessions inside the therapy room or outside in the open air. Person-Centred walking therapy will be the same as in the therapy room, so maintaining confidentiality and boundaries will be key.
Person-Centred Walking Therapy takes place in the outdoors where you can talk whilst walking along, or sit down and talk. It will be nothing out of the ordinary seeing two people talking and walking along or sitting together talking, but to ensure privacy we would need to discuss safety and confidentiality so that you are safeguarded as a client and I am safeguarded as a Counsellor.
Outside sessions have the added benefit of fresh air which can bring a feel good factor. We would meet for our first initial assessment session which will be @ £25.00 for 50 minutes Monday-Friday 9-5pm only, and will take place in my therapy room where we can then arrange a place to meet outside for the following week. Once we have agreed that we can work together we will then agree a contract for a further six sessions. Please contact me for PCWT fee/availability.
Sessions will take place at same time/day each week. If the weather is bad you can have your session in the therapy room, the choice is yours. I offer person-Centred walking therapy in Witham only. There are some nice walks in Witham. Person-Centred Walking Therapy is available during the months of June, July, August, September only.
