About me

My approach is calm and containing, non-discriminatory and non-judgemental with much warmth and compassion. As a Senior Counsellor and Supervisor for trainee and qualified counsellors at a local counselling service, I have gained extensive experience to help you make a constructive impact to your life. You can talk freely about what you want with the assurance that I will not judge you negatively or tell you what to do. Instead, I will listen respectfully to what you want to say with the clear intention to support you towards your aims.

As a Senior Practitioner at a local counselling agency, I am an active counsellor currently working with complex cases, mainly relationship issues - separation, divorce, intimacy and sexual problems, fear of commitment; major depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, lack of confidence, difficult bereavement, insomnia, post-traumatic stress disorder, trauma, physical and sexual abuse, gender identity disorder, bullying, addictions.

Over the years, I have helped a wide variety of people to work through their difficulties at their own pace. Making a genuine relational connection to you is important regardless of your background and beliefs.

Counselling can help to develop awareness of outdated beliefs and values, thoughts and behaviours that prevent well being. The main strength of my work is to look at ways you may criticise and judge yourself in such a way that you have lost relating to the core of who you are.

Counselling helps you to acknowledge what is not working so well in your life and instead to build on what is working well so that you can become true to yourself and to others. Throughout our time together, you will become aware of unhelpful thoughts and learn to regulate emotions.

There is no fee for the first 30 minute session. This helps you to find out more about counselling to see if it feels right for you.

Thereafter, 1 hour session fee is £40. For student counsellors: £30.

Telephone: 07708 064 597.
