Fees
We are sensitive to our clients' financial/time constraints and tailor courses of therapy to fit within clients' boundaries. We work with clients on a short or long term basis, managing the process by agreeing the client's goal(s) at the outset and estimating the scope of the work that can be achieved within the time frame available.
We have a small bursary to offer counselling at significantly reduced rates to individuals who require immediate counselling but are unable to afford the full cost.
Further Information
The Beacon Counselling team has six members based in Doncaster and Sheffield. We meet on a regular basis to share learning, insight, support and ideas related to counselling theory and practice. All of the team work from a integrated approach (we use different techniques for different clients' needs), with the person centred perspective (following the theories of Carl Rogers) at its core.
The team (by happy accident more than design) is a mixture of female/male, younger/older, ethnic origin and domestic circumstances. We differ in our backgrounds and areas of specialisation - but are united by our belief in our work and the hope that it will contribute to making the difference that our clients seek.
Individual Counselling
Anxiety, depression, bereavement, stress, post traumatic stress disorder, family and relationship breakdown or crisis, post natal depression, work-related anxiety, life crises, phobia, low self esteem and self worth, drug and alcohol abuse.
Organisational Counselling
Team building, workplace wellbeing, interpersonal relationship audit, effective communication skills, humanising the corporate setting.
Counselling Via the NHS
We work with GP surgeries to see private clients who need immediate access to counselling whilst waiting for their NHS counselling appointment to become available.
