Sometimes we can feel that we are alone, having to cope with difficult things that happen in our lives. Anxiety, depression, grief, feeling like we have lost direction, feeling isolated, these experiences can impact profoundly on our lives. We may turn to alcohol, drugs or other forms of coping mechanisms, when we just need help.
Who am I ?
I am a BACP accredited counsellor. I run a psychotherapy practice called Connect-and-Reflect (see connect-and-reflect.org.uk). I also provide counselling and psychotherapy in LEICESTER at the Leicester Clinic www.leicesterclinic.co.uk
I am here to listen and to reflect back, to offer some useful ways of dealing with painful emotions and experiences. I offer counselling and psychotherapy in person, by phone or online.
I support clients who have autism through compassion-focussed and mindfulness approaches that can help people to understand themselves and others better.
I support clients who are experiencing anxiety by helping them to learn and apply relaxation techniques, through building their self-esteem and by helping them to learn new coping strategies concerning their lives.
I support clients with depression through exploring childhood experiences and life events that may have helped trigger depression. I also support clients to apply helpful techniques that can alleviate the symptoms of depression and I support clients to consider new ways of coping with their depression.
I support couples in their relationships with each other by helping them to understand themselves and their partners better and to develop better communication skills and empathy for each other.
I support clients with addictions by exploring the triggers to their addictive behaviours and by helping clients to explore more helpful behaviours that can replace their addictions.
I work from home and my house is very close to the A47 in Rutland. I have private parking available to clients. I also provide telephone and skype counselling sessions. I also provide counselling and psychotherapy in LEICESTER at Leicester Clinic www.leicesterclinic.co.uk
Basia is a wonderful person with a truly genuine desire to help people.
From the very first time I spoke to Basia I felt really sure that she was the person to help myself and my family work through some very difficult and highly emotional issues.
Her caring, calming, peace loving nature has had a very positive influence on me.
Basia has helped me so much, made me feel far more positive and given me great hope for the future. For that I am so, so grateful.
I feel blessed knowing Basia and will continue to keep in touch. Thank you so much Basia
