About me

Welcome to you and thank you for reviewing my profile.... What is counselling? An important question! It is more than just a listening ear. People bring many and varied issues to counselling and the roles of counselling is to help to look at their problems, to understand them and then with the counsellor’s support, find a way through. To this end I provide counselling in an environment where you can explore your personal issues, problems and feelings in a secure and safe setting using a non-judgemental and empathic approach with openness and respect for you in complete confidentiality.

I have been a practising counsellor and psychotherapist for over 12 years, and my practices are in Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire and in Ludlow Shropshire. I have experience of working with young adults to elders, with the aim of enabling you to enhance your life and to live it more fully. I am committed to providing counselling and psychotherapy in a safe and confidential environment. I have experience in working with clients struggling with issues relating to bereavement and grief, loss, anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, relationship issues, suicidal feeling, sexual abuse, bullying, physical abuse, work related stress, bullying, abuse, low self-esteem and lack of confidence, PTSD, trauma; I specialise in working with clients who have suffered trauma.

My work with my clients is to enable them to overcome their difficulties; it may be in enabling choice, or in deciding on change or reducing confusion. I am able to help you with any of these. I understand and respect that each client is unique, and has their own story to tell and I would feel privileged to be a part of your journey.

If you decide after contacting me that you are interested in having counselling, our initial session will be where you can explore - in complete confidence - any issue that is troubling you. It is an opportunity for me to find out a little about you and for you to see whether you feel comfortable working with me as a therapist. If we decide to work together, we then agree a suitable time and day for us to meet, usually once a week.

If you would like further information, please call or email me, alternatively, you can view my website as well on www.talking-togethercounselling.org
