Mindfulness-based approaches are now widely used in the treatment of anxiety and depression to maintain health and wellbeing. It can support people to reduce stress and anxiety, help with low mood, lack of motivation and pain and illness. It provides you with practical techniques to integrate mindfulness into everyday life. It is a simple approach to teaching you how to pay more attention to the moment, rather than worrying about the past or the future. Learning and practising Mindfulness can help you to recognise habitual ways of responding to everyday events. Practicing mindfulness can improve your experience by changing how you relate to thoughts and feelings.
It can improve the quality of your life and help you to appreciate the good things in your life. Put simply, mindfulness is all about managing your mind. Everyone can learn mindfulness and gain something valuable from it.
Courses and Events
Sat morning of mindfulness, 10-12.30 (once a month)
Wed lunchtime mindfulness drop-in, 12-1pm
(1st and 3rd Wed of the month)
8-week mindfulness courses (MBCT and MBSR) run throughout the year. NeX course starts Monday 20th Feb, 7pm-9.00pm.
