Profile

I am an experienced UKCP Registered Gestalt Psychotherapist located very near Loughborough. Specialising in a wide spectrum of relational issues that clients may bring, my approach takes into account the whole person, body, mind and spirit. I am committed to providing a safe, non-judgemental, confidential space in which to bring about change, understanding and healing.

I work with adults, individuals and couples and offer both short-term therapy to an agreed time-limit and long-term open-ended therapy. My aim is to enable you to enhance your life and to live it more fully.

My practice is in the quiet village location of Sutton Bonington where free parking is available at all times. The therapy room is on the first floor overlooking the tranquility of the garden. I regret I do not have wheelchair access and access to my room is via a fight of stairs. I am located within two minutes walk from bus stops to and from Loughborough and there is a regular daytime hourly Indigo service from the town centre that takes 10 to 15 minutes. Being close to Junction 24 of the M1 makes this location easily accessible by car from Derby, Nottingham and Leicester.  

Training, Qualifications & Experience

I am a qualified and experienced Counsellor and Psychotherapist, MSc Gestalt Psychotherapy (2002) The Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute Nottingham, PG Diploma Humanistic Counselling and Psychotherapy Nottingham Trent University (1997),  and Certificate in Counselling Studies University of Leicester (Psychodynamic) (1993).

I have been running my own private practice since 2001. Prior to this I spent over seven years working in the voluntary sector since 1994 at the Leicester Counselling Centre and at two university counselling services in the region. All this has given me a broad experience of many issues that clients bring to therapy.

I am committed to continuing my professional development through attending training events, workshops, and regular ongoing clinical supervision of my work.

Fees

My fee for Individual therapy is £45 per session.
Couples therapy £50 per session.
I do give a concessionary rate which is negotiable, for anyone who is experiencing extreme financial hardship.
